Dentafix Temporary Cap Repair

Dentafix Temporary Cap Repair is a ready to use temporary cement which re-fixes dental crowns, inlays and bridges. It is not glue – it is cement which sets only if it comes into contact with water or saliva and takes approximately 15-20 minutes to set.

This cement has been developed to provide an ideal temporary solution.

It does not irritate the gums; it is easy to work with and can be easily removed by a dentist without any damage to the bridge or crown.

Please note that this is only a temporary solution and you must consult your dentist as soon as possible.

The composition has been tested by clinicians.

Instructions

Clean out the crown or bridge (if necessary) and leave moist but not wet.
Clean the area in the mouth (tooth stump) where the crown is to be replaced.
Rinse the mouth with water (do not dry the stump).
Apply a small amount of the cement around the inner edge of the crown or cap. Do not fill the crown. For bridges, apply a small amount of the cement around the inner edge of each crown of the bridge.
Fit back in the mouth and firmly press down. Then carefully bite into place.
You will know when the crown or bridge is corrected re-seated as the teeth will close back together again comfortably.
Remove any excess cement from around the base of the crown.
DO NOT CHEW FOR THE NEXT 2 HOURS.

Important

KEEP OUT OF REACH OF CHILDREN. Store in a cool, dry place (5-25 deg C). It is important that the cap is replaced tightly after each use. Due to sensitivity to moisture, close the tube immediately after removing the material. Getting unused cement wet may result in the material being no longer extractable. Use only what is needed to repair dental emergency.

Always use small quantities and apply to the inner edge of the crown(s). The product is a temporary solution – please consult your dentist as soon as possible. Setting of the cement takes approx. 15-20 mins in contact with oral moisture, Do not chew for the next 2 hours.

Amazing customer service (particularly from Lynsey Fairhurst)I ordered from HoM recently and the Aramex delivery guy stupidly threw my parcel behind the wheel of my house mate’s car. He accidentally ran over my parcel not realising.I messaged HoM to see if they were able to get any compensation from Aramex and they weren’t able to but Lynsey still very kindly sent my parcel out again.Really generous and understanding. Have an auto-immune problem with my mouth which results in constant horrendous dry mouth, waking me at least 4-6 times during the night with no saliva, mouth like the desert. Bought first pack of XyliMelts Dry mouth melts - absolute life saver. Have been able to sleep through the night using them and am using them during the day as well. Brilliant product

I don't normally write reviews, but am making an exception for House of Mouth. The reason is that they provide a top notch service at a cost far less than you'd pay at the dentist. It costs a bundle to get a dentist to make those bleaching trays to whiten your pearlies. House of Mouth will do a perfect job for way less. And you don't have to go into an appointment - you can do it all by mail. Dan is lovely to deal with. And the whole process is easy.
